Taste and See is a combination coffee shop and art gallery. It merges the vibes of peacefulness and tranquility of a art gallery and the energy and alertness of a coffee shop in a way that provides a blissful experience. The staff are courteous and friendly. The coffee and tea options are much greater than a national chain or the other coffee shops in Macon. Along with your standard Lattes, Mocha, and Steamers, you can purchase a Bullseye (drip coffee and espresso), Affogato (espresso and ice cream) and essentially any coffee or tea variation possible. The prices are comparable to a national chain, and the quality range is equal to or surpassing Starbucks, Jittery Joes, or Caribou Coffee. There pastry options are fantastic and, unlike the other shops in the Macon area, are fresh. Generally, the place is full of people studying, working, meeting up with friends, or people looking at the artwork. If you are from the D.C. area, this place is identical to Ebeneezer's Coffee House (F Street NE near Union Station), but with more offerings and a slightly slower pace vibe. If you have been there and enjoyed it, you will enjoy Taste and See.
